Internal Quality Standards
Stellar
Technologies quality manual is based on the requirements of the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), Good Machining Practices (GMP) and the International Standards
Organization (ISO). Our quality guidelines are supported by a comprehensive operational-procedures
manual that controls all functions within the organization.

State-of-the-art
Automated Inspection
To inspect parts, Stellar Technologies uses an Omis III video-inspection system
coupled with Applied Statistical Process Control (SPC) software.
This state-of-the-art
system has .000020 repeatability and .000050 correlation to mechanical inspection
method. The speed of inspection, which is usually 5-7 times faster than traditional
inspection methods, allows Stellar to inspect all part requirements at C= 0 single
and double sample size, and provides statistical data to support our findings.
The
system ensures:
- Accurate
inspection, eliminating human error
- Larger
sample sizes at no additional cost
- Very precise
measurement of all features
- SPC data
for all print characteristics
- Extensive
component testing during manufacturing, which provides machinists with instant
SPC data to aid in monitoring both the process and tool life.
