LASER TECHNICIAN
Primary objective of position:
Responsible for the functional operation of laser cutting and welding team.  Develops CAD/Machine programs required to cut or weld components.  Identifies tooling requirements.

Major areas of accountability:

1. Develops and operates laser production per procedures and specific job instructions.
2. Maintains Stellar Quality on components produced.
3. Maximizes production on assigned equipment.
4. Maintains clean and orderly work area.
5. Discuss potential production improvements with Director of Manufacturing.
6. Proficient at use of SPC to verify product quality.

• Recent pulsed laser cutting experience.
• Experience with high tolerance cutting of metals.
• Set up of laser parameters.
• Experience or a desire to learn CAD/CAM software (we use alpha cam).

SR. MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Stellar Technologies seeks a BSME engineer who has strong problem solving and communication skills.  Experience in CNC machining, tool design and Pro-E  preferred. 

Primary objective of position:
This position is responsible for assisting in the development of technical standards and related products, programs and services, assisting machinists by providing technical and operations guidance, and  administering standard processes and programs to ensure effective, timely and accurate standards and customer satisfaction.

Major areas of accountability:

Develop manufacturing prints, procedures, specifications and processes. Efficiently complete pre-production planning. Evaluate alternative manufacturing methods. Ensure development of products and services that meet customer requirements. Provide engineering support to assigned teams. Instruct and aid manufacturing personnel in specific job set-up to facilitate production. Works with tooling engineer to design fixtures for procedures developed. Visit customer facilities for technical assistance in product design. Provide input for budgets and capital equipment acquisition.

CNC MILL/SWISS/LATHE POSITIONS
Stellar has excellent opportunities for highly skilled machinists with the following background:

• Vertical Machining Center
• CNC Swiss
• CNC Lathe

Primary objective of position:

The ability to develop a manufacturing process that is capable of yielding extremely precise components, in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining production requirements.

Major areas of accountability:

Familiar with the manufacturing of components made from titanium, stainless steel, platinum and assorted exotic materials. The ability to maintain a high level of production quality, including high quality process paperwork. Exhibits excellent leadership abilities and an ability and willingness to train others and promote the team concept. Capable of communicating effectively with engineering, quality, and manufacturing personnel. Extensive knowledge of machining, equipment, and programming. Knowledge of macro programming and 3-D programming a plus. We utilize Virtual Gibbs and Esprit. Demonstrates the ability to evaluate and diagnose problems in an efficient manner. Ability to set up and run the most complex components. A good working knowledge of ISO procedures is preferred. The understanding of cutting tools and clearances and ability to design cutting tools.
